What is an LED neon sign and what components does this type of lighting have?
For our LED illuminated signs, numerous small LEDs (light-emitting diodes) are formed into a tube shape and then installed on acrylic glass in the desired shape and color. This process is done by hand and requires a great deal of skill and experience.

      How much power do our LED neons consume?
      An LED illuminated sign has a 12 volt (voltage) and offers a capacity of 12 watts (power) per 1 m (meter) of LED light strip.

      To calculate the exact wattage, the following information is important:

      • Number of meters of LED light strip used for the neon motif (variable information, as each neon lettering/text has a different length!). If you would like to know the exact meters that your individual No motif requires, please contact us using our contact form .
      • Number of hours that the LED sign lights up when switched on (active usage time).
        Formula for calculating electricity costs: Power (watts) x time (hours) = energy consumption in watt hours (Wh), this divided by 1000 = consumption in kilowatt hours (kWh). 1 kilowatt hour currently costs €0.37 (as of April 2022 in Germany).

        Cost comparison: LED Neon vs. regular light bulb:
        Conventional light bulb: 20-40 watts (power)
        LED neon sign: 12 watts (power) per meter of light strip

        We can clearly see here that our energy consumption is significantly lower than that of a conventional light bulb and that we are therefore also protecting the environment.
